During this time of family, friends, and celebrating, I want to extend my warmest holiday wishes to each Waypoint family who makes up our community. I also want to thank you for entrusting your children into our care every day, and for the support you each have given our school. To the wonderful parents and grandparents that have given their time as room parents, or to help support our Thanksgiving feasts, potlucks, class parties, holiday shop, library, book fair, or listening to readers, and the list goes on and on. We are lucky that at Waypoint, we share the holiday spirit of giving all year long.
I am very grateful that Waypoint boasts outstanding Guides that each day enjoy teaching our children, and who are constantly looking for ways to improve our programs. My favorite part of the day is to walk through our beautiful campus, and when I step into any classroom, I see children hard at work with smiles on their faces. The pride of learning something new is clear, as well as the joy when they share it with their teacher, friends and parents. The care and respect the students of all ages have for each other, their teachers, and their community, is one of the things that sets Waypoint apart. Waypoint itself is truly a community at its heart, and everyone who makes up this community has come together to guide our next generation, the children from 14 months to 12 years old.
As we gather together on December 14 at the Colleyville Center for our annual holiday Music & Art Show, we will begin with a new first for our school. This year our Extended Day Primary children will join the elementary classes and lift their voices in song. I look forward to seeing every one of you at this event, and spending time with all the families that make our Waypoint community so special.
Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!
