A note from our Head of School
Welcome to our community. Waypoint is a unique educational experience that serves students from the toddler years through elementary and looks at each child’s developing academic, social and emotional needs. Our faculty is trained to provide a program that nurtures the human potential within each student. As an Association Montessori International recognized school, Waypoint provides an authentic pedagogy that is research based learning; inspiring its students to wonder, explore and discover. Waypoint students are critical thinkers who are respectful and passionate about learning.
Waypoint has been part of the Dallas/Ft. Worth area since 1971 and serves Dallas, Denton and Tarrant counties. Spread over nine and half acres of wooded areas, playgrounds, playing fields and gardens, the school has expanded as Colleyville and the surrounding cities have grown. Forty-five years later, the school that started with just two classrooms has ten classrooms and offers art, music, Spanish and Physical Education. The Almost Home facility offers parents a solution to a quality after school care program. The students and families have opportunities to enjoy family picnics, potlucks, art shows, cultural celebrations, graduation and holiday performances. Waypoint has become a school that families seek out as a wonderful educational experience for children.
We encourage prospective families to schedule a tour to see our exceptional programs, observe a classroom and join us in the journey of educating children for the next century.
