Board of Directors
Waypoint is a not-for-profit educational institution governed by a Board of Directors. The Board’s responsibilities are to safeguard the School’s mission and serve as legal fiduciaries; to set policy; to develop a shared vision and plan strategically; and to assure the overall financial stability of the school.
In accordance with the school’s bylaws, the Board is made up of five to eight members serving 3-year terms. The Board strives to be a diverse group of people including Waypoint parents, Alumni, and community members – all of whom donate their time and efforts without compensation.
The Board of Directors meets once a month with the Head of School and Financial Director. The Board entrusts all the daily operations of the school to the Head of School.

Alexei Holstein
President
Alexei and his wife, Jacqueline, have been committed to Montessori education since their sons were infants. After relocating from Chicago to Dallas, they continued seeking an authentic AMI school with a strong Elementary path where their boys could remain in Montessori beyond the Primary years. That search ultimately led them to Waypoint, where the purpose-built campus, deep Montessori foundation, and focus on the full development of the child made a lasting impression. Both of their sons are part of
Waypoint's Elementary program.
Professionally, Alexei brings more than 20 years of experience leading complex enterprise infrastructure initiatives across engineering, construction, and technology environments. His work has centered on aligning stakeholders, building durable partnerships, and helping organizations move from long-term strategy to practical execution, experience he brings to board governance, planning, and school stewardship.
As Board President, Alexei is focused on thoughtful governance, constructive partnership with school leadership, and strengthening board committee engagement in support of Waypoint's mission. He believes a strong school community is built through trust, clear communication, and meaningful family engagement, and is grateful to serve alongside the board, staff, and families who care deeply about Waypoint's future.
