Classroom Assistant(s)


Waypoint Montessori, an established, high-fidelity Montessori school in Colleyville, Texas, seeks dedicated, mature, and flexible candidates for upcoming Assistant positions within its AMI Montessori classroom environments. Classroom Assistants will work daily from 7:45am to 4:00pm. 


Qualified candidates must be punctual, dependable, eager to learn about Montessori environment dynamics, able to receive and implement verbal direction, and able to communicate respectfully with children of all ages, as well as with adults. Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor’s Degree and at least two years of experience working directly with children. Strong interpersonal skills, keen observation skills, and a willingness to support children's independence and growth with respect are required. A team-oriented approach to daily tasks and a positive outlook are a necessity!


All positions require background check as well as CPR/First Aid Certification. Bilingual skills and familiarity with Montessori and Positive Discipline philosophies are a plus.

After School Care Assistants


Waypoint Montessori, an established, high-fidelity Montessori school in Colleyville, Texas, seeks dedicated, mature, and flexible assistant candidates for its Montessori-inspired after school care program. After care assistant positions are generally scheduled during the hours of 12:00pm to 6:00pm. This is an ideal opportunity for college students studying education and child development.


Qualified candidates must be punctual, dependable, eager to observe and learn about Montessori environment dynamics, able to receive and implement verbal direction, and able to communicate respectfully with children and adults. Qualified candidates will possess some college education, a high school diploma, and at least one year of experience working directly with children from 3 years to 12 years of age. Opportunities for occasional, daytime substitute shifts within the Montessori environments on campus may arise for the right candidate.


All positions require background check and fingerprinting, as well as CPR/First Aid Certification. Prior approved daycare/HHS background check, bilingual skills, and familiarity with Montessori and Positive Discipline philosophies are a plus.

Substitutes


Waypoint Montessori, an established, high-fidelity Montessori school in Colleyville, Texas, seeks dedicated, mature, and flexible substitute candidates for its AMI Montessori classroom environments serving children from 14 months to 12 years of age. Substitute positions are generally scheduled during the hours of 7:45am to 4:00pm. 


Qualified candidates must be punctual, dependable, eager to observe and learn about Montessori environment dynamics, able to receive and implement verbal direction, and able to communicate respectfully with children of all ages, as well as with adults. Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor’s Degree (or at minimum an Associate’s Degree or some college education), a high school diploma, and at least two years of experience working directly with children from 14 months to 12 years of age. Opportunities for occasional substitute shifts within the Montessori-inspired After Care program may also be available.


All positions require background check and fingerprinting, as well as CPR/First Aid Certification. Bilingual skills and familiarity with Montessori and Positive Discipline philosophies are a plus.
