How to Apply

Admissions Policy

Waypoint Montessori has a rolling enrollment period and accepts applications year round. Some programs may have a waiting list of up to 9 months, so it is important to begin the admissions process as soon as possible.

Acceptance of any applicant is based principally on the child’s readiness for the Montessori program, as determined by child-guide-administrator interviews, and the parents’ expectations of the school. No child shall be denied admission on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, gender or differing ability.

1. Schedule a Tour

Schedule a tour using the Prospective Families form. Tours are conducted on Tuesday mornings at 9AM.

2. Submit an Application

Fill out the Application For Enrollment, and submit the $100 non-refundable application fee to the front office.

*Elementary students will need to submit records from all previous schools attended.

3. Schedule your Child’s Visit

After completing a tour and submitting the application and fee, you will be contacted to schedule a 30-minute meeting for your child with a Toddler or Primary Montessori Guide. Elementary applicants generally participate in a minimum of a one-day classroom visitation with an Elementary Guide.

If you are applying for a future academic year for Toddler and Primary programs, this interview will be scheduled for no sooner than three months before your child's anticipated start date.

4. Submit your Enrollment Contract

Upon acceptance, you then complete and return your child's Enrollment Contract with the non-refundable initial deposit. Your contract and deposit must be submitted to secure your child's  enrollment. You will be asked to provide additional information before your child's anticipated start date (such as the School Authorization Form and Immunization Record, which must be on file before your child can attend school).

The following priorities are observed in determining admissions:

  1. Currently enrolled students
  2. Children of employees
  3. Siblings of currently enrolled students
  4. Balance of age and temperament in the classroom
  5. Transfer students from other Montessori schools
  6. Date of application

The Head of School makes the final decision regarding student enrollment.

If classes are full, prospective students will be put on a wait list. Returning students will be given priority over new students in the wait list.
